Welcome to our 2-day Chengdu tour with Leshan. Your exclusive guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Chengdu downtown, and then drive you to visit the famous Leshan Giant Buddha. The journey takes about 2 hours, and your guide will share with you some precautions for the upcoming itinerary and facts about the attractions.
71 meters high (about 233 feet), Leshan Giant Buddha is the largest stone statue of Maitreya Buddha in the country. Follow your guide to climb up the stairs to admire this magnificent Buddha statue up close. This also provides another perspective for appreciating Buddha statues - boat tours. You can see from a distance for a full view of the Buddha statue (at your own expense, optional).
Leshan Giant Buddha Return to the center of Chengdu in the afternoon. If you are interested in Sichuan opera, the tour guide is glad to arrange a Sichuan Opera Face Changing performance for you (optional). Sichuan Opera is a traditional Chinese opera popular in eastern and central Sichuan, Chongqing, and some areas of Guizhou. Face changing is one of the special effects performed in Sichuan opera. Be amazed that the actors changed their masks in the blink of an eye.

Today is a highlight of Chengdu panda tour! Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is well known for the protection and breeding of the endangered pandas. In this cradle of giant pandas, closely observe pandas of different ages eating, playing, and resting. The guide will lead you through the huge area, share some information about the pandas, and help you take amazing photos.
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding In the afternoon, enjoy some relaxing time in Renmin Park. You can sample a cup of tea and watch local people playing mahjong or napping. Last attraction on your Chengdu tour is the bustling Jinli Old Street. 550 meters long, the street was once one of the oldest and most commercial streets in the history of Western Shu. It was famous in China as early as the Qin (221-207 BC), Han (202 BC-220 AD), and Three Kingdoms periods (220-280). Here you can see many ancient relics, including the stage, memorial archway and ancient well. In addition, find various local specialty snacks and interesting souvenir trinkets here.
