Itinerary 7 Days Beijing and Xian Package Tour

We visited Beijing and Xi’An, China during March 2025. We were introduced to China Xian Tour agency by family friends and were pleasantly welcomed by Sophia via Whatsapp. She writes in good english and replies promptly throughout our trip.

Our tour guide in Beijing, Gary Ciao was a gem. He speaks English and Mandarin. He was engaging and took really good care of us. We visited TianAnMen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Great Wall section at Mutianyu. Summer Palace, Hutong, Beijing Science and Technology museum (kids love this). Street markets and Hutong. Tried Beijing Duck (must have) and JiajiangMian (Beijing specialty noodles). Gary even has a illustrated notebook to explain the various historic people and places of Beijing. He was also very understanding of the unique needs of visitors; toilet breaks, comforts and all.

Beijing is a big city and the attractions can be crowded. The city is very safe and air is clean.

We took the famed high speed train from Beijing to Xi-An. The ride was worth all the hype. The train was clean, high tech and spacious (1st class seat).

At Xi’An, our tour guide Kai was very good. He speaks good English and took really good care of us. We visited the City walls, muslim quarters and street markets. The next day we visited the Terracotta Warrior of Qin Shi Huang (1st Emperor of China). Looking at terracotta figures that are more than 2200 years old with such exquisite details was a bucket item list ticked off.

All in all, we had a pleasant visit. Keep an open mind. Imbibe the experience; of the only continuous civilisation of 5000 years history and counting. We would visit China again.
